Question by .Ariya.: dental school…….?
im interested in becoming a dentist…but im not sure how competitive it is to get into dental school
i live in canada, and i would like to stay in canada while i am getting my post secondary education. i have a 4.0 gpa right now and i will be graduating high school next year. i volunteer around my community when i can, am a member of student council, and am in a leadership class
so how high are the chances that ill get into dental school??…i was thinking about UBC or the University of Toronto (i live in BC)
i want to know my chances because if the chances that ill get in arent very high ill find a different career to focus on instead

I live in America, but I would assume the stats are similar.
Dental school is just as competitive as medical school. You need a 3.5 college GPA and all the pre-reqs (basically a bachelors degree in Biology or Chemistry)
Other options within dental are dental hygenists and dental assistants. It basically depends how much time you want to spend in school and how much money you want to earn.
