Question by Stephanie T: I just graduated from dental assistant school and am having a hard time finding a job.?
I just graduated from dental assistant school in June and am having a hard time finding a job. I’ve had 2 interviews so far but have submitted so many resumes. I feel like there is so many people out there applying so I’m not even getting a chance. Do you think it’s best to continue submitted resumes online to offices that are hiring or to just get out there and drop my resume off at dentist offices in my area? Is that ok to do?

The best way to get a job is through networking. I am sure you have a dentist. Talk to him or her that you are looking for your first job out of vocational school. Maybe he/she knows someone else who is hiring for your skill level and you can get the position. good luck

Keep applying. I would probably call offices around your area or drop in and see if the office is hiring. It’s hard to find a job, for anyone, right now. But, you just have to keep on being persistent. Good luck!

  • VicSEO says:

Don’t waste any effort posting your resume online. It’s far easier to mail out your resume to local dentists and dental practices and then follow up with an actual meeting with interested parties.

    Good luck!

Networking is the best choice right now.

if u are not picky u can apply to any jobs out there till u get a decent job from ur line.
