Question by princessqueen: Which is better job, dental assistant? or medical assistant?

Best answer:

Answer by Laura in North Carolina
There are more job openings and the salary is higher for dental assistants.

As far as which is the better job, it depends on you. If you can’t see yourself looking into people’s mouths all day, then medical assisting would be better. If you can’t see yourself drawing blood or giving shots, then dental assisting would be better for you.

    DENTAL ASSISTANT!!!
First off they make more money.. If you go into medical assisting all you will do is vitals and PAPERWORk!! Phones, more paperwork, greet patients more paperwork. Boring.. If you do dental assisting you will have more interaction with the patients plus the money..money…money… I went 4 medical assisting and i swear i was like the lowest person on the totum pole. It sucked. now im in nursing and i “gets respect”. hope that helps..

Dentist assistant has a more chance of finding a job faster then a medical assistant and has a higher salary too. I know because I’m a medical assistant myself and wished I would of gone for dental instead of medical.
